Woman.

By Kristina Ioannou

It’s time to love the body that has felt the pain of pitiful eyes, the invisible scars of scathing words and the fading bruises of trying to fit into a mould that you didn’t belong to.

Woman.

Those creases and bumps and lumps are works of art that tell a story of adventure, of lessons, of indulgence, of fear, of ecstasy, of resilience, of strength.

Woman.

Just because your body may not fit the norm, does not mean you have flaws and imperfections.

Woman.

You are not broken or unloveable.

Woman.

Your worth is not defined by the size of your dress or how small your waistline is.

Woman.

Do not let other people’s conditioned judgments permeate your own definition of what true beauty is.

Woman.

Avoid feeding the lustful eyes of those who cannot pierce the surface for it will leave you starving.

Woman.

Do not believe them when they say you are: too curvy, too big, too small, too much.

Woman.

Behind those shapely hips and broad shoulders and fleshy stomach therein lies a womb which creates life, a soul that radiates kindness, a heart that exudes unconditional love.

Woman.

You are enough.

You are enough.

You are enough.

You have always been enough.

– to women everywhere.
